Sachini is a passionate researcher of environmental modelling. Her experience in leadership and public speaking are apparent in her effective communication skills. She completed her Master of Science in Building Resilience in Tropical Agro-Ecosystems at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna (Sri Lanka), producing a thesis titled “Modelling runoff and soil erosion using SWAT: A study in the Nilwala River Basin in Sri Lanka”. Sachini holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Export Agriculture, specialized in Agricultural Production Technology from Uva Wellassa University (Sri Lanka).

At Agro Models (Pvt) Ltd, Sachini is using her knowledge in agriculture and SWAT modelling to develop tools for controlling leaching of agro-chemicals to ground water, while using AI, effectively, to build models from fundamental equations.
